We publish the result either way.
Every row on the public claims registry is an invitation. If you can show, from the receipt itself, that a row claims more than the evidence supports, we will correct it in public, dated, with your name on the correction if you want it there. This page fixes the procedure in advance so that it cannot be renegotiated after an inconvenient result arrives.
What you get
A public, dated correction on the registry and on the research page, with credit as you specify, and the original wording left in place so the correction is legible. A published correction with your name on it is the offer. There is no cash bounty and there will not be one, because this studio does not post money on its website. The correction and the credit are the entire offer.
What counts
Anything that shows a row overstating its floor: a job ID whose recorded backend, shots, or counts do not match the row; a figure that does not survive a null you can name; a corrected row whose correction is itself still too strong. Confirming a row is welcome but is not a challenge.
What does not
Disagreement with framing, typos, and opinions about what the work is worth. Those are fine to send but they go through the normal contact page, not this procedure. The procedure exists for evidence against evidence.
What to send
Four things. Nothing else.
The id of the registry row you are challenging, exactly as printed on /claims.
The job ID, recording, or published figure you looked at, and what it shows that the row does not.
Enough for us to repeat it: the backend, the query, the calculation. A paragraph is usually enough.
Name, handle, or anonymous. Your choice, stated up front.
Do not send
- Source code, repositories, or proprietary material of any kind. We will not open them and they do not strengthen a challenge.
- Credentials, tokens, or account access. A job ID is public evidence; your login is not needed to cite it.
- Claims about pages other than the registry. The registry is the surface we commit to correcting on this procedure.
The procedure, fixed in advance
Receive. Repeat. Rule. Publish.
In that order, every time.
You write to [email protected] with the subject line "Overturn" and the four items above. We reply in writing to confirm receipt. That reply is the start of the record.
We repeat your check against the same receipt. If it needs a hardware re-run, we say so and say when it can run; queue time on real hardware is not under our control and we do not pretend it is.
One of three outcomes, in writing: the row stands, the row is corrected to a lower floor, or the row is retracted. Any ruling of "stands" includes the specific reason your check did not overturn it, so you can contest the reason itself.
The outcome goes on the registry row and on the research page, dated, with the original wording left visible and your credit attached as you asked. Rulings of "stands" are published too. A challenge that failed is still a public record that the row was tested.
